Michael W. Sybert, M.D. joined Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in August 2022. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Music Technology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2012 and his Doctorate of Medicine from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey. Dr. Sybert completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital, where he served as team physician for Moon Area High School. He then completed a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute at NYU Langone in New York City.

Dr. Sybert specializes in total joint surgery, including direct anterior total hip arthroplasty, robotic-assisted hip, knee and partial knee replacement using the Stryker Mako system, complex revision surgery, knee arthroscopy, and fracture care. While at Penn State, Dr. Sybert earned four national collegiate Taekwondo medals, competed on the U.S. collegiate all-star team, and was named Penn State Male Club Athlete of the Year during his senior year. A native of Mars, Pennsylvania, Dr. Sybert returned home to Pittsburgh after completing his fellowship at NYU. Dr. Sybert is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
